Controversial writer Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar, who was recently ensnared in a honey-trap scheme by a criminal gang, has clarified that he was forced at gunpoint to record intimate scenes with a woman on camera.
An explicit video of the playwright surfaced on social media amidst the uproar following his abduction by the gang after he met a woman at her residence late at night.
The primary suspect in the kidnapping, Hasan Shah, claimed in an interview that he possesses a two-hour-long video showing the writer in an intoxicated state with the woman. He alleged that Qamar had pursued the woman, who is a model, and entered into a relationship with her.
In a recent interview, Khalil-ur-Rehman stated, “If you watch the videos, you will see that I was held at gunpoint and forced to record explicit content with the woman.” He also asserted that the perpetrators were recording the videos.
When asked why he hadn’t disclosed the video earlier, Qamar explained that he faced victim-blaming following the incident. He initially considered including the video in the FIR but was advised against it by the police due to the lack of additional supporting evidence.
“Luckily, we obtained the video,” said the writer of Mere Paas Tum Ho, referring to footage showing the preparations for the recording.
