Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the UK, Dr. Mohammad Faisal, has stated that resolving the Kashmir issue is essential for lasting peace in the region.
In his statement, Dr. Faisal commented on the Pakistan-India ceasefire, saying that he hopes the ceasefire will be long-lasting and that the United States has played an excellent role in facilitating it.
He added that anyone involved in the Pahalgam incident should be punished, stating, “It is not acceptable for someone to act as a judge themselves and begin bombing after making a decision.”
The Pakistani High Commissioner further said that the dispute between Pakistan and India has been made more complex by India itself. If India respects international laws, issues can be resolved easily. Resolving the Kashmir issue is essential for lasting peace in the region.
It is worth noting that earlier, a ceasefire was reached between Pakistan and India through mediation by the United States and other countries. However, the Modi government is calling the ceasefire decision temporary. On the other hand, China and other countries have welcomed the ceasefire between Pakistan and India, calling it essential for regional peace.
