KARACHI: Police have lodged a case on the complaint of a man who claimed that his wife was compelled to commit suicide after being blackmailed by unknown men for several days.
Police have confirmed the deceased woman died after hanging herself from the noose suspended from a fan at her home in Shadman Town.
Police have confirmed the deceased woman had received threats and was being blackmailed. The woman also sent voice notes to her sister before her death and being distressed over phone calls she had been receiving by blackmailers who were forcing her to visit them.
The voice note claimed she was being threatened to visit them or else the blackmailers would kill her. “I have been threatened to visit them, I cannot see my children murdered” she cried. The voice note added that the blackmailers are harassing her
According to the voice note, the deceased victim said they scammed her into a forged nikah and made her compromising videos which they threatened to share publicly.
An FIR has been lodged in the case on the husband’s complaint against four suspects which includes sections of murder.
