A video of a woman arguing with the police over the removal of tinted windows from her car in Defence has gone viral, as reported by national media on Monday.
According to a report by ARY News, in the Defence area of Karachi, a woman lost her temper when the police removed the tinted windows from her car, and a video of her argument with the police surfaced.
The woman said, “Why are the tinted windows being removed? I have bought the police. I have been driving a car with tinted windows for a year.”
To this, the police officer responded, “I am addressing you as a sister, but you are being disrespectful.” However, the woman continued to misbehave with the officer and other police personnel.
She kept saying, “You are all corrupt. Ask the officers from Darakhshan and Sahil police stations.”
The police stated that they are assessing the woman’s behavior and her threats to the police, and if higher authorities give the order, a case will be registered against her.
Regarding the incident of the woman threatening the police for stopping her tinted-window car, DIG South Asad Raza stated that the woman appeared to be intoxicated and was also smoking. When the officers stopped the car, she started issuing threats and misbehaving.
DIG South further said that a DSP was called to assess the situation. He added that action is being taken across Karachi against tinted windows, and legal action can be taken against those who threaten the police.
