Karachi has topped the list of the world’s most polluted cities due to the contaminated and hazardous air quality.
During the nights of the week, Karachi’s air became the most polluted and unhealthy, leading the city to be ranked first in the list of the world’s most polluted cities.
According to the Air Quality Index, the concentration of particulate matter in Karachi’s air reached a record of 239 particulate matter per cubic meter, while Lahore, with a particulate matter concentration of 191 particulate matter per cubic meter, ranked third in pollution worldwide.
According to the Air Quality Index, Delhi (India) ranked second in pollution with 196 particulate matter per cubic meter, while Ulaanbaatar (Mongolia) ranked fourth with 169 particulate matter per cubic meter.
It is important to note that air quality between 150 and 200 is considered polluted, between 200 and 300 is considered highly polluted, and particulate matter exceeding 300 indicates hazardous pollution.
