The Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast that temperatures in Karachi could rise to 39 degrees Celsius today (Sunday).
The Met Office said that sea winds will come to a halt while dry and hot winds will run during the day. However, weather conditions are likely to improve by the evening with the restoration of sea breezes.
The city was experiencing clear sunlight, and the temperature was 29 degrees Celsius on Sunday morning.
There is 46 percent moisturiser recorded in the air of the city. The westerly winds are blowing in the city at 14 kilometres per hour.
The Met Office warned citizens to take precautionary measures due to the temperature rise.
The Air Quality Index (AQI) level of the city is satisfactory. Karachi achieved 64th position on the World Air Quality Index while the city is declared the fifth most polluted city of Pakistan.
