KARACHI: Three days of continuous rain in Karachi has caused havoc as six people have been killed in various incidents including electrocution and flooding.
According to details, the rain in Karachi for the third day in a row inundated the city once again. Highways began to give views of the pond. Streets became streams. Standing water opened the floodgates of the government’s claims.
Karachi’s underpasses have been flooded, several motorcycles were submerged in various places while vehicles were stranded in the rain in different areas. Water spilled on the Korangi Causeway. The traffic pressure on the surrounding roads increased.

Two people trapped in rainwater in Qayyumabad have been rescued. Six people were killed when they were electrocuted and washed away. The highest rainfall of 102 mm was recorded in Gulshan-e-Hadid.
It may be recalled that during the rains in Karachi, Administrator Karachi Murtaza Wahab had also recently visited and instructed the concerned authorities for drainage, however, due to continuous rains, the city administration has so far failed to control the situation.
