KARACHI: The district police today (Saturday) have arrested two women drug peddlers after a raid in Karachi’s Civil Line area.
Acting on a tip-off, the district police raided a place in the Civil Line area and arrested Fatima Liaquat and Hafiza Noor Muhammad, according to SHO Civil Line Salahuddin Qazi.
The SHO Civil Line further informed that 300 grams of heroin were recovered from their custody and further investigation into the matter of recovery of drugs from their possession is underway.
The Civil Line Police have also registered Case No. 121/2020 against both the women under different sections of the Control of Narcotic Substances Act and the Explosives Act.
SHO Civil Line said that the police had launched a crackdown on drug dealers in the respected areas and two other such peddlers were also arrested recently.
Earlier in January, the district police apprehended two women drug peddlers during a raid in Karachi’s Malir area. The drug women peddlers were identified as Janat Bibi alias ‘Mami’ and Amna.
The district police claimed to have recovered two kilograms of hashish, cell phones, and different SIM cards from their possession.
