KARACHI: Karachi, the city of lights, is really a pro-poor city as a senior citizen of the metropolises set a new example of generosity by providing free of cost petrol to dozens of poor motorcyclists and rickshaw men.
As per details, A video has been viral on social media in which an unknown senior citizen is standing at a Pakistan State Oil (PSO) petrol pump in the city and making every motorcyclist and rickshaw man get free petrol of Rs.700. A long queue of motorcyclists, who are waiting to get free petrol, can also be seen in the video.
The elder also hold a white paper in his hand on which he was noting the number of men getting free petrol so that later pay the bill to the pump as per the numbers.
According to eyewitnesses, this act of generosity happened at a petrol pump in Orangi Town last Friday. They said that around 90 individuals were provided with the fuel free of cost.
It is also said that, when some people started making videos of the event, the generous Karachiite strictly forbade them from it, however, some people made the videos secretly and viral on social media.
After completing his great and exemplary job, the ‘angel’ paid the bill and disappeared without even telling his name to the people.
It is pertinent to mention here that, petrol prices have been jacked up by Rs. 84 per litre in recent weeks and as a result, a flood of inflation has hit the country, which has broken the economic backbone of the poor and labor class of the society.
