An elderly citizen in North Karachi’s Sector 5C/3 had a confrontation with robbers, during which he fired shots and managed to drive them away. A video of the incident has also gone viral.

According to a report, citing police officials, the search for the fleeing suspects is ongoing, and additional CCTV footage from nearby cameras is being obtained. However, the citizen, Khurram Pervez, has declined to pursue legal action.

Police authorities stated that the footage of the incident had been viral on social media since yesterday, prompting the police and Special Branch to verify the location, as senior officers had requested a report regarding the viral clip. After investigation, it was confirmed that the incident took place in North Karachi, Sector 5C/3.

According to the police, Khurram Pervez, upon leaving his house and riding his motorcycle, was approached by two robbers on another motorcycle. The robbers attempted to mug him at gunpoint, but Khurram Pervez fired shots at the suspects with his licensed weapon. After being fired at, the robbers fled, shooting as they escaped.

Police officials mentioned that no legal action has been taken by Khurram Pervez. The police have contacted the affected citizen, but he does not wish to pursue legal proceedings. However, the police continue to investigate the incident further.
