Karachi Commissioner sets nimco and grocery prices for Ramadan 2025

Commissioner Karachi Syed Hasan Naqvi has announced the price lists and notifications for Nimco items during Ramadan 2025. According to an official notification from the Karachi commissioner’s office, the rates are as follows:

1. Aloo Samosa (60 grams): Rs 35 for A-class quality and Rs 30 for B-class quality.
2. Qeema Samosa (35 grams): Rs 35 for A-class quality and Rs 30 for B-class quality.
3. Pakora mix (1 kg): Rs 600 for A-class quality and Rs 500 for B-class quality.
4. Jalebi (1 kg): Rs 500 for A-class quality and Rs 430 for B-class quality.
5. Pheeni (1 kg): Rs 800 for A-class quality and Rs 620 for B-class quality.
6. Khajia (1 kg): Rs 800 for A-class quality and Rs 620 for B-class quality.

These rates are exclusive of GST, which applies only to Class A bakeries, as stated in the notification.

In addition, price lists and notifications for groceries, beef, and mutton have also been issued. T

he Commissioner has instructed all deputy commissioners to ensure the availability of food items at official prices during Ramadan. Strict action, fines, and arrests will be enforced against those who fail to display price lists or violate fixed prices.

Citizens are encouraged to report complaints to the commissioner’s complaint cell at 021-99205634 and 021-99203443. The Commissioner has assured that action will be taken against those found guilty of overpricing.
