The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will hold a meeting tomorrow (Friday) to sight the Zil Hajj moon, According to Radio Pakistan.
Eidul Adha is anticipated to fall on June 17 (Monday), though the precise date will be confirmed following the Zilhajj moon sighting. The MET office stated that if the month of Zilqad in Pakistan consists of 29 days, the month of Zilhajj will begin on June 8, leading to Eidul Adha 2024 being celebrated on June 17.
Meanwhile, the Meat Merchants Association in Karachi has announced the official rates for animal slaughtering services during Eid al-Adha. According to the association, the cost for slaughtering a cow on the first day of Eid will be Rs20,000, while sacrificing a goat will cost Rs10,000. For those choosing to slaughter a camel, the fee is set at Rs40,000.
Nadeem Qureshi, a representative of the Meat Merchants Association, stated that the rates for the second and third days of Eid will be significantly reduced, dropping to nearly half of the initial day’s prices.
Moreover, Karachi Commissioner Hassan Naqvi has announced the establishment of 22 cattle markets across seven districts in preparation for Eidul Adha 2024.
According to an official statement, the authorities have decided to establish 22 cattle markets in seven districts of Karachi for Eidul Adha. Of these, seven markets will be within the city limits and 15 will be in the town limits.
