Salman Farooqi, CEO of Bionic Films, has been arrested in connection with an assault case involving a motorcyclist in the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) area of Karachi.
The incident reportedly took place in Phase 6, Khayaban-e-Ittehad Commercial, where Farooqi, driving a Mercedes with registration number BKJ-200, allegedly assaulted a motorcyclist following a near collision. Eyewitnesses claim that despite repeated pleas from the victim’s sister, Farooqi physically attacked the motorcyclist.
A formal complaint was filed at Gizri Police Station by Muhammad Saleem, a sales manager at a mobile company, who witnessed the incident. The First Information Report (FIR) includes charges of issuing death threats, assault, and public humiliation.
According to Saleem, he was in the area on a business-related recovery visit when he observed a minor accident involving the motorcyclist and a woman.
