KARACHI: In a shocking incident, a boy was arrested for brutally murdering his father and chopping his body into pieces.
SSP Altaf Hussain said that the Investigation police East zone started an inquiry after retrieving the body from a bag in the Afghan Kot area, Superhighway within the limits of Sachal police station.
On April 21, the charred body was found in a bag in pieces, police revealed, adding that the head and legs of the corpse were cut off with a sharp instrument to erase the victim’s identity. A case no. 759/2022 was lodged under Section 302/334.
Under the supervision of SSP Investigation-1 East, SIO Sachal traced the victim’s identity after biometric identification of the deceased’s thumb. He was identified as Muhammad Saleem Khilji Rajput, aged 52 years.
During the interrogation, the relatives of the deceased were contacted and their statements were taken, while the mobile numbers of the victim were obtained.
Afterward, the son of the deceased has been taken into custody over the brutal murder. The boy in his initial statement to the police said that his father used to beat him and fight in the house, which forced him to take the extreme step.
On April 21, the boy said he crushed the head of his father with a sledgehammer and cut his body into pieces and threw it in Afghan kot area. He cut off his legs and then burned them. He beheaded him and threw the head in Lyari river. The accused is being further interrogated.
