Dead bodies of a man and a woman were recovered near the Clifton area of Karachi; both were shot and killed, as reported by national media on Monday.
According to details, the bodies were found within the jurisdiction of Boat Basin police station in Karachi. SSP South stated that both victims were shot dead by unidentified assailants. A mobile phone and some cash were found on the deceased, and two 9mm bullet casings were also recovered from the scene.
Mahzoor Ali stated that the bodies appear to be four to five hours old and were not very old, suggesting the murders took place sometime during the night. Laborers working nearby saw the bodies and informed the police.
He added that the crime scene investigation team is present and examining the evidence. The victims will be identified using NADRA biometric devices.
Later, police officials said that the man and woman found near Clifton have been identified. The man was identified as Sajid Masih and the woman as Sana Asif. Both victims belonged to the same village in Gujranwala.
