LAHORE: Kalyan Singh Kalyan, the first Sikh citizen of Pakistan, has obtained his doctorate (PhD) degree.
The 42-year-old man is the first Sikh in the country’s history to receive the award. According to details, he has completed his doctorate degree from Punjab University under the supervision of eminent Punjabi language researcher Prof. Dr. Naveed Shehzad. The title of the article is related to Baba Guru Nanak, the founder of the Sindh religion.
The country’s first Sikh assistant professor, Kalyan Singh Kalyan, has named a 600-page dissertation after his mother entitled The Philosophy of Humanity in Guru Nanak’s teachings. Kalyan Singh says it is an honor to be the country’s first Ph.D. Sikh.
Born on December 12, 1979, in Nankana Sahib, Punjab, Sardar Kalyan Singh Kalyan received his early education at Government Guru Nanak High School where students of all faiths, irrespective of religion, were studying.
Other social media users, including Angad Singh Khalsa, a Sikh, have also congratulated Kalyan Singh Kalyan on completing his Ph.D.

Kalyan, a father of three daughters and a son, obtained his M.Phil (Punjabi) degree from Punjab University in 2016 and also became an Assistant Professor of Punjabi at Government College University.
