Famous country music star Kacey Musgraves has revealed that she broke a rib after falling in Mexico and is currently in severe pain, which has forced her to cancel her plans.
The 36-year-old singer stated in her official social media post that she is experiencing a lot of pain at the moment. Sharing an X-ray image, she wrote on Instagram: “I’m in Mexico and my sixth rib is broken.”
Detailing the incident, Kacey said that it was raining on Wednesday night, and as she was running to grab a towel, she slipped hard on very slippery tiles that she didn’t see.
“I’m lucky I didn’t hit my head, but I suffered a serious injury to the ribs on my left side, which resulted in the fracture of rib number 6.”

She added: “This is no joke. I’m in a lot of pain, and doing anything has become extremely difficult, but I’m recovering and being well taken care of.”
Due to the severity of the injury, Kacey Musgraves is currently unable to perform live and has also had to postpone the recording of her upcoming podcast.
Expressing regret, she shared: “It is physically impossible for me to get on a plane and return to Nashville.”
She said: “I’m truly very sad that this event has to be postponed because I had been looking forward to it for months, but there’s no other option now. I sincerely apologize to all of you for this inconvenience.”
