ISLAMABAD: Justice retired Altaf Ibrahim Qureshi is scheduled to take the oath as the acting chief election commissioner (CEC) today.

Altaf Ibrahim Qureshi replaced Chief Election Commissioner retired Justice Sardar Muhammad Raza as he was retired from his post after his tenure ended yesterday.

Justice retired Altaf Ibrahim Qureshi, ECP member from Punjab, is the senior among the only two members of the incomplete commission, will take the oath as the acting CEC.
The oath-taking ceremony of the acting chief election commissioner will be held today in the Election Commission.
