JUIF leader Qazi Zahoor Ahmad gunned down in Peshawar

In yet another terrorist attack, a Jamiat Ulema Islam Fazal Qazi Zahoor Ahmad was shot dead in an apparent targeted killing incident in Ahmadkhel area of Peshawar on Sunday.

As per the deceased brother, Qazi Zahoor was returning home from a mosque in Ahmadkhel when unidentified gunmen opened fire on him.

The JUIF leader succumbed to injuries before he could reach hospital, the bother Attaullah, said. The family reportedly told the police they had no enmity.

Police officials have collected forensic evidence from the scene, and begun investigation. The body of the deceased was sent to Khyber Medical College for autopsy.
