SINDH: Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU) has received permission from the Higher Education Commission to start a PhD programme in Health Professions Education.
The Vice-Chancellor of JSMU Professor S.M. Tariq Rafi congratulated the Dean of JSMU’s Institute of Public Health Professor Lubna Ansari Baig and Head of JSMU Institute of Medical Education Professor Syeda Kausar Ali, on this achievement.
He said that this achievement consolidates JSMU’s commitment to providing relevant, modern and innovative education to the people of the province.
Professor Lubna Baig said that the University is already running a successful Masters programme in Health Professions Education alongside certificate courses.
She expressed hope that this PhD programme will encourage raising the standards of medical education in the country.
