KARACHI: Sindh High Court has issued contempt of court notice to the Sindh government today over the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) report.
In a tweet on Tuesday, Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Haider Zaidi confirmed the news that the SHC issued contempt of court notice to the Sindh government for not complying with court’s orders of releasing the JIT report.

According to the minister, he will pursue all legal options to get justice for victims of terrorism.
On 29th May, Ali Haider Zaidi filed a contempt of court plea against the Sindh government for not making the JIT report public. While sharing the news, he said, “Till date, they have not released JIT reports of Uzair Baloch, Nisar Morai and Baldia factory fire that the SHC ordered on 28th January 2020.”
“Many mentioned in the JITs are still sitting in the assemblies. Some police officers named are still serving as well,” he asserted. According to him, the law must take its course.
