LAHORE: A Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) delegation headed by Amir Sirajul Haq on Monday reached the residence of PML-Q head Shujaat Hussain to meet him and inquire after his health.
Besides the Chaudhry brothers, Chaudhary Salik Hussain, Shafay Hussain, and others were also present during the meeting.
The JI delegation was comprised of JI Chief Sirajul Haq, Liaquat Baloch, Dr. Farid Paracha, Dr. Khalid Rehman, Amirul Azeem, Rana Khalid, and others.
They inquired after the health of Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain and both sides also discussed the current political situation of the country.
Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain was of the view that amid soaring inflation, masses’ patience should not be tested further.
He urged all political parties to think about the poor and downtrodden class of the society and build a collective plan to control ever-increasing inflation.
Sources privy to the meeting said that the joint opposition considered no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan also come under discussion.
It may be recalled that opposition parties have stepped up their efforts to out the PM by the no-trust move and in the account contacts with different parties including government, allies continue.
