Famous actor Javed Sheikh says that 25 years ago, he went through a very difficult time, people turned against him, and they said Javed Sheikh’s career was over. He said, “Allah tests us by giving, and He also tests us by taking away.”
According to national media, Javed Sheikh recently participated in a Ramadan transmission hosted by Javeria Saud. During the show, he talked about his strong faith in Allah.
Javed Sheikh said, “In the year 2000, Allah took everything from me. All my films flopped, and I couldn’t find any work. People spoke against me, and the entire studio was against me. They said, Javed Sheikh is finished, he should go back to Karachi.”
The actor said, “This was the time when I could have completely broken down and given up everything. It was my bad phase, I could have fallen into depression. Just like Waheed Murad went through tough times and became depressed, I did not lose hope. I never stopped going to the studio. I would go there, sit, have tea, and meet my friends, who would tell me that everyone outside is saying Javed Sheikh is finished.”
Javed Sheikh said, “At that time, I said, ‘Who are these people trying to finish me? The one who can finish me is the one who decides when I will no longer be here.’ He said, ‘Maybe Allah liked my words.’ I was doing theater when a person came to me and said, ‘I want to make a film, how much will it cost?’ I replied, ‘It will cost one crore.'”
According to the actor, the person said he wanted to make a big film, and Javed Sheikh said it would cost five crore rupees. The person gave him five crore rupees for the film, and when the film was about to release, people said, ‘Here comes the funeral of a five-crore film,’ but that film, ‘Yeh Dil Aap Ka Hua,’ became a super hit. And I did not give tickets to those who spread rumors about me.
