Singer Arooj Aftab has become the first Pakistani artist to perform at the Grammys 2023.
The Pakistani Grammy Award winner took to her Instagram to announce that she will be performing at the Grammy Awards premiere ceremony.
The Mohabbat singer wrote, “I simply cannot wait to play my Grammy-nominated jam Udhero Na featuring Anoushka Shankar with her live for you at the Grammys.”

Aftab is nominated, once again, in the ‘Best Global Music Performance’ category for her single Udhero Na at the Grammy Awards.
Matt B and Eddy Kenzo’s ‘Gimme Love’, Burna Boy’s ‘Last last’, Rocky Dawuni and Blvk H3ro’s ‘Neva Bow Down’ and Wouter Kellerman, Zakes Bantwini and Nomcebo Zikode’s ‘Bayethe’ have also been nominated in the same category.

The event will be held on February 5 at 12:30 pm. The event will be available for streaming on the Recording Academy’s website and its official YouTube channel.
Born to Pakistani parents in Saudi Arabia, Aftab spent her teenage years in Lahore before relocating to Boston’s prestigious Berklee School of Music to study music production and engineering.
