KARACHI: The Sindh Cabinet has directed to reconsider the proposal to increase public transport fares once and rejected the decision of the federal cabinet regarding the census.
A meeting of the Sindh Cabinet was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah. The Sindh cabinet decided to set up a medical commission under the PMC. The Pakistan Medical Commission Act was passed by the government on 24th September this year.
The Sindh cabinet said that the federal cabinet has no authority to approve the census. The cabinet rejected the decision of the federal cabinet and maintained that the issue of the census belongs to the CCI.

On the issue of time scale, the cabinet considered the action of the committee of the Minister of Education. The Sindh Cabinet directed to reconsider the proposal to increase the fares of public transport once and for all while the cabinet approved the four-tier formula.
The provincial cabinet said that 95 percent of students from Sindh and 5 percent from other provinces should be given admission in the province. The Sindh government will regulate the fee structure of private medical colleges in its own province, the cabinet said.
The Sindh Chief Minister directed the Health Department that there is an emergency situation due to Corona and the posting of nurses should be given immediately.
