Israeli officials confirmed that five soldiers died in shelling in northern Gaza, raising the total number of Israeli military deaths in the ongoing Gaza siege to 777.
The recent deaths come as the occupying forces conduct violent incursions into occupied Palestine, including Gaza and the West Bank.
Separately, the military said another soldier died from wounds sustained in battle in southern Lebanon.
Media in Israel report that at least 33 Israeli soldiers have been killed in fighting in southern Lebanon since the start of the month amid Israel’s ground offensive into Lebanese territory.
Meanwhile, Israel continues deadly strikes on southern Lebanon, with many women and children among the 15 people killed in the latest attacks in Sarafand and Haret Saida near Sidon city.
At least 143 Palestinian people were killed in Israeli strikes across Gaza on Tuesday, with 132 of those killed in the besieged north of the war-torn territory, medical sources said.
In Gaza, at least 43,061 people have been killed and 101,223 wounded in Israeli attacks since October 7, 2023.
