RAWALPINDI: The Inter Services Public Relations department of Pakistan’s armed forces have confirmed killing of a wanted terrorist Liaqat in an intelligence based operation, conducted in Khyber. MM News had published the story of Jamrud, Khyber operation the other day.
According to a statement issued by ISPR, Security Forces on Nov 07 conducted a Joint IBO in general area Shakas, Khyber District. During the conduct of the operation, intense fire exchange took place between own troops and terrorists.

ISPR said “our troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location, resultantly, terrorist Liaquat Ali alias Shaheen, an important Terrorist commander, was killed. The killed Terrorist was also propagated as a ‘Missing Person’.
During the operation, a large number of weapon and ammunition was also recovered from the killed terrorist, ISPR added.
The killed terrorist remained actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces, target killing and extortion. However, during intense exchange of fire, Sepoy Saleem Khan (age 28 years, resident of Topi / Swabi) having fought gallantly, embraced shahadat.
Sanitization of the area is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area. “Pakistan Army is determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve,” said ISPR.
