The district administration of Islamabad on Thursday announced the establishment of 17 fair price shops across the federal capital, aimed at providing citizens with food items at wholesale prices.
The Central Ruete Hilal Committee is scheduled to convene on Friday (today) for moon sighting.
Furthermore, the Punjab government has introduced the Nigehban Ramadan Package to support millions of underprivileged families, offering an amount of Rs10,000 to each deserving individual.
The district administration has released a list of locations where the fair price shops will be operational, including:

- I8
- F8
- E11
- F10
- F11
- G6
- G7
- Lethrar Road
- I11/4
- G13
- Bara Kahu
Residents in areas such as Bari Imam, Bhara Kahu, Pakistan Town, F7, and F6 are expected to benefit from this initiative.

The fair price shops will offer a range of essential items, including staples like flour, sugar, rice, and cooking oil, in response to the annual surge in demand for groceries during Ramadan.
