The Islamabad Food Authority recently conducted a raid in Tarnol, seizing 25 maunds of donkey meat. The shocking discovery has since sparked a wave of outrage on social media, with Tarnol trending as users debate who is behind the slaughter of donkeys for profit.
According to details, the incident has also raised broader concerns about food safety, illegal meat trade, and the disturbing details surrounding this crime. Islamabad Food Authority states that more than 50 donkeys and a large quantity of meat were recovered in Tarnol.

The Director of the Food Authority has ordered immediate registration of a case against those involved. The spokesperson of the Islamabad Food Authority said that the Food Authority team is disposing of the donkey meat.

According to Islamabad Food Authority’s Deputy Director Dr. Tahira Siddique’s initial investigations, this meat was being supplied abroad. She said that a total of 25 maunds of meat was recovered by the Food Authority team, and a foreign national present at the scene was handed over to the police.

Deputy Director Dr. Tahira Siddique also stated that investigations are ongoing regarding the areas where the meat was supplied.

Social media users believe that after Lahore, the residents of Islamabad are also being fed donkey meat, and actress Mishi Khan also tried to prove from various references that the meat seized in large quantities is used in restaurant food, although the information that came to light after the raid clearly shows that this meat was being supplied abroad.
