The District and Sessions Court in Islamabad has once again issued non-bailable arrest warrants against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur in the liquor and weapons recovery case, directing the police to arrest the KP CM and produce him before the court.
Judicial Magistrate Mubashir Hassan Chishti issued the arrest warrants after Gandapur failed to appear in court today, despite being given a “final warning” by the court. The court also rejected his request for exemption from appearance.
It is noteworthy that the court had summoned Gandapur multiple times during the course of the case, but due to his continuous absence, the court adopted a strict stance and ordered the police to arrest him.
In June, the same court suspended the non-bailable arrest warrants issued for the Chief Minister in the case related to alleged possession of illegal weapons and liquor.
The next hearing of the case has been adjourned until July 22.
