ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Accountability Shehzad Akbar has expressed that if former finance minister Ishaq Dar could not answer the questions of anchor, how would he face the courts.
Shehzad Akbar, during a press conference in Islamabad, said that the former finance minister could not answer the questions during an interview with a Britsih anchor.
He termed Dar ‘fugitive’ and said that yesterday he claimed that he has only one property in Pakistan. Shehzad Akbar said that if Ishaq Dar had come to Pakistan, how would he have answered the questions of the courts. The former finance minister said that dozens of people had died in NAB custody and he had made many such ridiculous remarks.
“According to Ishaq Dar, I have a property which has been seized by the government,” he said. Ishaq Dar owns six acres of land in Islamabad and moreover, he owns three plots in Al-Falah Housing Society.

Shehzad Akbar said that Ishaq Dar has eight vehicles, some companies, and some partnerships. Dar has a lot of bank accounts including money. He said that people were amused to see Dar’s interview. Information about him came to light in JIT but he is not responding to the charged sheet imposed on him.
Talking about the current situation of COVID-19 in Pakistan, he said, “The country is improving at the moment, but the second wave of coronavirus is dangerous, but along with the virus, we have to save business and trade,” he said.
