Is Zayn Malik still friends with former One Direction bandmates?

British singer Zayn Malik has finally opened up about his relationship with former band members of One Direction after he quit it in 2015.

Zayn Malik in an interview shared that he did not really, like, made any friends from the band. “I just didn’t do it. It’s not something that I’m afraid to say. I definitely have issues trusting people,” he asserted.

The band ‘One Direction’ included bandmates Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Liam Payne, it was formed in 2010 on ITV show ‘The X Factor’.

However, despite the five singers spent five years together, Zayn Malik could not build a personal bond with any of the singers and left the group as alone as he was when he entered. Malik is officially a father as he and his long-term girlfriend Gigi Hadid welcomed a baby girl to the world in September 2020.

Moreover, one of the former band members Louis Tomlinson also shed light on his relationship with Malik that when in 2016 his mother died, all the members showed up except for Malik. “That didn’t help their relationship,” Tomlinson revealed.

“Truthfully, it never really got better,” Tomlinson said by adding, “I had a couple of calls with him after I lost my mum, and all the boys had agreed to come to that performance and he didn’t show, so that really bugged me.”
