Former WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee has captured attention in recent months as fans speculate about her potential return to professional wrestling.
WWE legend Bully Ray has also wished her return, however, Lee has yet to make any announcement about her return to the arena.
After retiring in 2015, Lee enjoyed a nearly decade-long career in the ring. Her last match took place in an episode of WWE RAW that aired on March 30, 2015.
Since her husband, CM Punk, returned to WWE after nearly a decade away, fans have eagerly wondered if Lee would follow suit. Several WWE Superstars, including Bayley, Cora Jade, and Liv Morgan, have called out Lee for a match.
Recently, Morgan expressed her desire to face Lee in a mixed tag team match at next year’s WWE SummerSlam. She hoped to team up with Dominik Mysterio against CM Punk and AJ Lee.
The current generation of women wrestlers urges AJ Lee to come out of retirement. WWE legend Bully Ray shared his wish for the former Divas Champion to get involved in the ongoing feud between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre. The list of supporters advocating for Lee’s return continues to grow. This includes WWE legend Teddy Long, who also expressed his desire to see her back in the ring.
WWE star Teddy Long recently appeared on the WrestleBinge podcast. There, he discussed his past experiences with AJ Lee before her marriage to CM Punk. He described her as a genuinely nice person and emphasized that it was time for her to return to WWE.
He stated, “I met her when I was there before she ever married CM Punk, so I had the opportunity to work with her. What a nice person. Real nice lady. And great attitude and everything. Yeah, I think it’s time for her to come back. She didn’t leave on bad terms, and they didn’t bury her before she left. I think right now she’d be a big asset to them.”
