ISLAMABAD: Internet services across the country returned to normal as faults in the terrestrial segment of SEAMEWE-5 cable were repaired.
The internet services had faced disruptions on Tuesday after the submarine cable system developed a fault, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) confirmed.
Earlier last night, the PTA had announced that terrestrial segment of SEAMEWE-5 between the cities of Abu Talab and Zafrana in Egypt had experienced dual cuts.

Taking to Twitter, the PTA announced that the faults in the terrestrial segment of SEAMEWE-5 were repaired at 2 AM PST, and that the Internet services were operational as per normal routine.
