LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz made an appearance at a police passing out parade in Lahore, donning a police uniform. However, her unconventional attire sparked a wave of mockery from internet users.
During the ceremony, Maryam Nawaz was accorded a guard of honor and bestowed awards upon the outstanding graduates from the Police Training College. Serving as the chief guest, she oversaw the parade proceedings.
Addressing the attendees, the Punjab CM underscored her administration’s commitment to bolstering the presence of female officers within the police force. “Wearing the police uniform has brought to light the gravity of this significant responsibility,” she remarked.
While some critics labeled her gesture as a mere publicity stunt, others admonished the CM, suggesting that attempts to impress the public with such tactics were outdated by at least four decades.
