The international burger chain “Salt” has announced its plans to expand into Pakistan, promising to offer high-quality food to customers in the country soon, according to a report from The Arab News.
Founded in Qatar in 2005 by Ali Ahmed Buhindi, Salt specializes in burgers made with wagyu beef, a premium type of beef from Japan. The chain currently operates in Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and Hungary.
In an Instagram post featuring the caption “coming soon,” Salt expressed excitement about entering the Pakistani market, stating, “Time to pass the salt, Pakistan! SALT is coming in hot with all the good vibes and flavors to slide right into your cravings.”
The company has not yet revealed which cities in Pakistan it plans to open locations in. Salt’s menu includes a variety of beef burgers, such as brisket, truffle, and original sliders, as well as chicken burgers with flavors like Cheetos and crispy chicken.
International fast food chains like McDonald’s, KFC, and Hardees have been successfully operating in multiple cities across Pakistan for decades, indicating a strong market for new entrants, while recently Saudi Albake has also signed agreement for starting business in Pakistan.
