ISLAMABAD: The Meteorological Department has predicted light snowfall with wind and thunder in Gilgit-Baltistan, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and adjacent hilly areas during the next 24 hours.
The weather is likely to remain dry in most parts of the country, while the forecast is likely to remain partly cloudy in the upper regions. According to the brief situation, the westerly wave is affecting the upper parts of the country and is likely to persist till tomorrow.
During the last 24 hours, light to moderate rain occurred at a few places in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Upper Punjab, North Balochistan, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan. While the weather remained dry in other parts of the country.
On Thursday, Shaheed Benazirabad was the hottest place in the country where the temperature soared to 40 degrees Celsius.
It should be noted that the Meteorological Department has indicated the possibility of a decrease in the intensity of heat in Karachi, but the temperature will increase in the coming days. The weather in the country is changing and the heat is increasing during the day.
