ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar has said that inflation over essential products has fallen to less than half in the last three months.
The minister for planning and development took to Twitter and wrote that inflation has continued to fall. The latest weekly Sensitive Price Indicators (SPI) was down to 8.2 percent this week, he said.

According to Asad Umar, the year on year SPI was above 20 percent in the mid of January. He reiterated that the rate of inflation for essential products that people use on a daily bases has fallen to less than half in the last three months.
Asad Umar earlier this week asserted that the effects of the coronavirus could be very serious. “Those who think that they are safe from serious effects of coronavirus should learn from British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.”
He further said, “If the Prime Minister of the country, with one of the best health systems, can end up in ICU, trust me you are not too powerful for it,” he added.
