ISLAMABAD: Speaker of India’s Parliament Lok Sabha Om Birla has invited Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani to visit New Delhi.
The invitation has been forwarded to the Senate Chairman to attend a ceremony marking the centenary of Lok Sabha’s Public Accounts Committee (PAC) on December 4-5th, 2021. Indian President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the ceremony.

“Public Accounts Committee is the oldest Parliamentary Committee in India. Since its inception a century ago, the Committee has peacefully spearheaded parliamentary oversight of public expenditure, thereby reinforcing executive accountability in the world’s largest democracy.”
“As the Public Accounts Committee celebrates the 100th year of its journey, it would be a honour for us if you could kindly be the guest of Parliament and grace this historic event with your esteemed presence,” the invitation reads.
According to reports, Sanjrani has started consultations regarding his visit to India after an invitation from the Speaker of Lok Sabha. The invitation is also being considered a breakthrough in Pakistan-India relations.
