Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the largest Hindu temple in the world in Abu Dhabi tomorrow
The foundation stone of this temple was also laid by Narendra Modi in 2017, and now the construction of this temple has been completed, so its inauguration is also being done by Modi.
This temple, made of pink stone, is built in traditional Indian style, while the name of this temple is Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan (BAPS) Temple, which is located in the Abu Dhabi city.
According to Indian media, the construction of this temple used Rajasthani pink stone, while it was built with Italian marble. In 2015, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi announced to donate 13.5 acres of land for the temple during Narendra Modi’s visit.
While the foundation of this temple was laid in 2017, this temple in Abu Dhabi has been designated for guesthouses, places of worship, gardens, and other literary places. The 7 minarets of this temple represent the 7 emirates of the United Arab Emirates.
However, the claim of the Indian media proved wrong that this temple is the first temple in the Arab countries, because almost a century ago a temple was built in Manama, the capital of Bahrain.
This temple was built by the Sindhi Hindu community, who migrated here from Thatta, which is now in Pakistan, many years ago after the partition of India, but it is clear that this temple is the largest temple in the Arab world.
