Indian actress Shobitha Shivanna was found dead in her apartment in the Kondapur area of Hyderabad, as reported by the news agency ANI, citing police sources.
Authorities suspect that the actress may have died by suicide. A police official confirmed, stating, “Kannada actress Shobitha Shivanna was found dead in her apartment. She allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at her residence in Kondapur, within the limits of PS Gachibowli. The police have registered a case.”
While the exact circumstances surrounding her death remain unclear, an investigation is currently underway. Her body has been transferred to Gandhi Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
The news of Shobitha’s passing has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry, with many expressing their grief over her untimely death. Actress Geeta Bharti Bhatt expressed her sorrow over Shobitha’s passing by sharing unseen photos of them on Instagram. She wrote, “RIP Shobitha avre. You shouldn’t have left us this way. Your smile, love for life, and very presence will be deeply missed!”
Shivanna was known for her performances in several popular Kannada films, including Eradondla Mooru, ATM: Attempt to Murder and Vandana. She was also a familiar face on television, featuring in serials such as Gaalipata and Mangala Gowri.
