Indian actor Pradeep K Vijayan found dead at home

CHENNAI: Malayalam actor Pradeep K Vijayan, also known as Pradeep Nair, was discovered dead at his residence in Palavakkam near Neelankarai on Thursday. The 39-year-old actor, known for his supporting roles in the Kollywood film industry, was found deceased.

The discovery was made by friends who grew concerned after not hearing from him for two days. Upon one friend’s visit to the actor’s house and receiving no response after knocking, local authorities were notified.

The police, along with assistance from fire services, gained entry into Vijayan’s residence. Inside, they found the actor deceased with a head injury. Initial observations by authorities suggest that he may have suffered a heart attack, leading to a fall resulting in a head injury. However, further investigations are ongoing.

Authorities have confirmed that the death appears to be an accidental fall with no signs of foul play, as the door was locked from the inside.

The body was transferred to the Government Royapettah Hospital for an autopsy. Vijayan was known for his supporting roles in films such as “Thegidi,” “Meyaadha Maan,” “Teddy” (2021), “Irumbu Thirai” (2018), and “Rudhran” (2023).
