Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in an address to the nation, stated that India has made a grave mistake by launching an act of aggression, and now it must face the consequences.
“India may have assumed we would retreat, but they forgot that the Pakistani nation is one of bravery and resilience,” he said.
He added that the people of Pakistan are forged in the crucible of battle and are ready to defend their homeland to the last drop of blood.
“Our armed forces forced the enemy to kneel within hours,” the Prime Minister declared, “and the whole world witnessed how our fighter jets stormed the skies, downing five of India’s warplanes—despite India’s numerical superiority.”
Shehbaz Sharif lauded the courage and precision of the Pakistan Air Force, likening the counterstrike to the legendary ferocity of Squadron Leader M.M. Alam.
“The roar of our jets last night echoed that historic spirit,” he said. “We delivered a blow so fierce that even time will not be able to heal the wounds inflicted on the enemy.”
The Prime Minister vowed that every drop of blood shed by Pakistani martyrs would be avenged. “This is a cowardly enemy,” he remarked, “who believes in targeting unarmed civilians to appear powerful. But last night, we proved that Pakistan knows how to respond decisively in self-defense.”
He reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering stance on Kashmir, stating that the dispute will remain unresolved until the Kashmiri people are granted their right to self-determination, as per UN resolutions.
