ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry has said that the biggest mastermind behind the sectarian riots is the anti-Pakistan elements in India and the anti-state statement has received support from India.
Talking to media in Islamabad, Fawad Chaudhry said that the fifth-generation war and hybrid war is not a philosophy, it is a reality before us, he asserted. The report of Digital Media Wing gives a glimpse of the hybrid war facing Pakistan.
Fawad Chaudhry said that America is a superpower country of the world today because it has peace in its neighborhood while Pakistan has India on one side and Afghanistan on the other side. In this regard, our region has some problems, we have to make decisions according to our ground realities, he added.
“The Soviet Union occupied Afghanistan in 1979, Osama bin Laden invaded New York, the United States decided to withdraw from Afghanistan. All these decisions were not made by asking us, but we had to face their effects,” he further added.
The Federal Minister for Information said that when the operation against TLP was launched, thousands of tweets were received within three hours that the civil war had started in Karachi, he said by adding that India was behind all these tweets, many tweets also came from our neighbouring country about a sect, anti-state rhetoric got support from India, he maintained.
“For countries that do not have a statement, do not have the right to stay together and the enemy is always on the lookout, the war of words is more important, we need to think about fake, sectarian and hateful news,” he asserted.
Currently, Google and Facebook alone are getting about Rs 7 billion from Pakistan in terms of advertising. In the next two to three years, formal media advertising will lag behind while digital advertising will move forward.
