Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Asim Iftikhar, has said that India is resorting to extreme provocation on political grounds and in an irresponsible manner.
According to details, Asim Iftikhar made this statement while briefing the OIC group of ambassadors on the latest situation in South Asia. The meeting was held in New York.
According to the Pakistani mission, OIC members expressed their full support and solidarity with the Government of Pakistan and the people of Pakistan.
Asim Iftikhar said that India is resorting to extreme provocation on political grounds and in an irresponsible manner, which is a serious threat to regional peace and stability.
The OIC members emphasized that tensions should be resolved through diplomacy and the root causes of the issues should be addressed, including a just resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with the United Nations Security Council and OIC resolutions.
It should be noted that following the terrorist incident in Pahalgam and heavy loss of life, India has blamed Pakistan for the incident and has started retaliatory actions.
