The Sindh Department of Culture, Tourism, Antiquities, and Archives has declared that, in honor of Independence Day, entry to all museums, heritage sites, and tourist locations under its jurisdiction will be free of charge from August 1 to 14.
The initiative includes complimentary access to prominent museums and archaeological sites such as the Quaid-i-Azam House Museum in Karachi, Mohenjo Daro, Sindh Provincial Museum in Hyderabad, Folk and Craft Museum in Sehwan Sharif, Banbhore Museum near Thatta, Kot Diji Museum in Khairpur, and the Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Museum in Larkana.
Additional locations offering free admission include Mukhi House, Umarkot Fort Museum, Naukot Fort Museum, Laar Museum in Badin, Marvi Cultural Centre in Bhalwa, and the Bhit Shah Cultural Centre.
Key historical and archaeological landmarks, including the Shah Jahan Mosque in Thatta, Bhanbhore, Kot Diji Fort, Satiyyan Jo Astaan, Umarkot Fort, and Naukot Fort, will also be accessible without charge during this period.
Furthermore, a 50 percent discount will be offered on all departmental publications, including books available at official outlets. Tourist destinations overseen by the department will likewise grant free admission for the duration of the two-week celebration.
