ISLAMABAD: Former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has said new elections is the only solution to end instability in the country.
During in an interview on Friday, the former premier stated that new elections were the only way to resolve the issues and that his disqualification was not a solution.
He claimed that after his disqualification, the ruling class planned to hold elections. He also claimed that there is a nexus between Pakistan’s election commission and the country’s current leaders (ECP).
Khan, though, emphasized once more that new elections were necessary in order to maintain political stability. I support democracy, and new elections are the only way to put a stop to the nation’s volatility.
“ECP sought to back the current administration in the Punjab by-elections, but the people are now fully informed of everything. The current rulers are afraid and now, PDM [Pakistan Democratic Movement] can do what it wants to do but it cannot defeat me.”
The PTI leader reiterated that “thieves” have been foisted on the nation in regard to the economic crisis. “They overthrew our government as the nation was experiencing economic development under the PTI administration.”
“The country has witnessed the ineffectiveness of the current administration, which is unable to rescue the nation from its dilemma. The weak government has been rejected by the IMF (International Monetary Fund).
According to the former prime minister, despite receiving an IMF loan, the government has been unable to stop the devaluation of the rupee against the US dollar.
Imran Khan has declared that he will reveal his long-term plan during the upcoming Gujranwala rally on Saturday.
