ISLAMABAD: Abu Bakr, a young fan of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan, has decided to auction a shirt carrying an autograph of the former prime minister and donate the proceeding to Shaukat Khanam Memorial Hospital.
The ninth-grader shot to fame after meeting Imran Khan at his Banigala residence after a passionate appeal and received an autograph on his shirt. In a viral video, the boy could be seen getting emotional while hugging the former prime minister after his dream come true.
He had requested on camera to meet the party chairman during the rally in Abottabad but was unable to do so. Abu Bakr couldn’t hold his tears back when he met Imran Khan and also gave him a ring as a gift.
The video also showed Imran Khan continuously consoling the kid, saying: “You will do big things when you grow up, no need to cry.”
Later, Abu Bakar expressed his emotions while showing the autograph. He said that he cannot express how happy he was after meeting his idol.
Abu Bakar said he has received offers for the autographed shirt, He has spurned an offer of Rs60 million and another Rs10 million for the prized possession.
However, he said that he would auction the shirt in the future and the auctioned amount would be donated to Shaukat Khanam Memorial Hospital.
