Imran Khan has won hearts by opening Kartarpur: Navjot Sidhu

KARATARPUR: Former Indian cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu has said the step taken by Prime Minister Imran Khan to open the Kartarpur Corridor will be written in history with golden words.

 He said PM Imran Khan has won the hearts of 140 million Sikhs around the world. “You have won hearts,” he said, while heaping praise on the premier.

“There are some people like Imran Khan who stand the test of time and create history,” he said. “No benefit or loss was weighed. No deals were considered. My faithful friend did this for the love of God.

He eulogised the personality of Prime Minister Imran Khan with rich poetry. He said Alexander the Great conquered the world with creating fear and waging war, while Imran Khan has conquered with love.

“What will you gain from killing in a war? If you want to win someone over, do so by generosity. The enemy neither dies from loss nor be able to hold his head high after being struck by such generosity.’

“This Sikh community is going to take you further than you can fathom,” he said, addressing the prime minister. “We will become your mouthpiece.

Navjot Singh said if corridor can be opened with one hug then more issues can be resolved with more hugs. He said for generations were deprived from visiting Kartarpur but now the government of Pakistan has opened it for Sikhs around the world.
