PESHAWAR: Former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has questioned the security of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and asked the “Neutrals” who is responsible for the security breach.
“I ask them [neutrals] that the audio leaks of the Prime Minister Office […] if the security of the Prime Minister Office has been breached […] this means that our enemies have our sensitive information,” Imran said in a speech at Edwardes College in Peshawar today. “Who is responsible for it?”
“I ask the guards today […] Can the guards claim to be neutral if bandits are pillaging a house? What are the locals going to say? Imran asserted that Pakistan was also being “robbed” today while stating that the guards were neutral despite the fact that the home was being looted.
He continued by asking “who will protect the interests of the country” if the “neutrals” were simply in charge of prosecuting social media users, YouTubers, and television networks.
The PTI leader continued to say in front of his supporters that those who claimed to be apolitical were “in fact, animals.”
Aristotle stated more than 2,000 years ago that everyone should become politically active if there is injustice and tyranny in a society.
If we claim to be apolitical, Imran said, “We will be accountable for the inequities in society.”
Imran’s comment follows a steady stream of audio recordings of government officials in the Prime Minister’s Office having supposedly honest talks that were never intended to be heard by the public that have recently come to light.
The most recent audios purportedly feature conversations between the PTI chief and his former ministers and principal secretary about a cypher that supposed to be key evidence pointing toward a foreign conspiracy.
Last week, Prime Minister House’s security was being called into question in the wake several audios’ tapes featuring Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz and several ministers of the ruling coalition surfaced.
A leaked recording that supposedly featured Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif went viral on social media, containing discussion regarding PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz’s request for an Indian power plant to be imported for her son-in-law.
In another audio, allegedly featuring PM Shehbaz Sharif, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and others, contains a discussion regarding PTI’s resignations.
In another audio leak, Maryam Nawaz pressed for the termination of the health insurance program started by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) administration, which providing free medical care to millions of Pakistanis.
